National Membership Body – Learning Management System Implementation
118
Client Organisation
The client is a large national membership body representing finance professionals across Australia and New Zealand. With more than 135,000 members, the organisation delivers education, training, and professional standards for its community. To maintain high-quality service, the organisation required systems that supported compliance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and scaled with increasing demand. Education delivery is a core function, and leadership recognised the need for a modern learning management system (LMS) that could support compliance, enhance member experience, and future-proof operations.
Project Overview
The organisation’s existing education systems were outdated and not aligned with the compliance requirements set by ASQA. They also lacked the scalability to support growing membership and evolving training needs. The leadership team sought a learning platform that could provide consistency, streamline operations, and improve the experience for members engaging with professional development. Sedha Consulting was engaged to manage the sourcing and selection of a new LMS, ensuring compliance standards were met and that the solution supported long-term growth and improved educational delivery.
Sedha's Role
Sedha Consulting led the end-to-end sourcing activity and vendor negotiations over a four-month period. The team facilitated stakeholder workshops to identify requirements, benchmarked system capabilities against ASQA compliance needs, and assessed shortlisted solutions for scalability and usability. Sedha supported contract negotiations with external vendors and coordinated internal decision-making to ensure alignment across business units. The consulting team also embedded change management practices to support adoption, minimise disruption, and prepare staff and members for transition to the new system. This approach ensured leadership confidence in both the selection and the vendor agreement.
Results
The engagement enabled the successful implementation of a learning management system aligned to ASQA standards and future business needs. The new platform strengthened compliance, reduced risk, and streamlined education operations, creating efficiencies across administration and delivery. Members now access a more consistent and user-friendly experience for professional development and training. The system provides a scalable foundation that positions the organisation to meet future demand while continuing to uphold high professional standards across its membership base.
