124
Client Organisation
The Client is a leading automotive manufacturer in the APAC region, recognised as the market leader in passenger vehicles. It reported annual revenues of approximately USD 18–19 billion in FY2024–25 with a workforce of nearly 20,000 employees. The company holds around 41 % of the regional passenger vehicle market, producing more than 2 million vehicles annually. Industry dynamics include a shift toward sustainable mobility and digital transformation, with the Client expanding into electric vehicles and exports to over 100 countries. Strategic priorities at the time included cost efficiency, supply chain resilience, sustainability and accelerating digital adoption across operations.
Project Overview
The Chief Information Officer identified gaps in IT maturity across sourcing, procurement, vendor management, cost optimisation and software asset management. These areas carried risks around cost leakage, vendor dependency and inefficiency in IT operations. The Client engaged Sedha Consulting to design and deliver targeted interventions that would improve leadership capability and embed best practices across IT functions. The initiative addressed multiple areas including operations, procurement, workforce practices and digital enablement.
Sedha's Role
Sedha Consulting delivered a structured programme of education and capability uplift. Over a period of less than three months, Sedha designed and facilitated multiple workshops on IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, software asset management and IT cost optimisation. The approach combined workshops, focused stakeholder engagement sessions and smaller group coaching. Content was tailored to the Client’s leadership team to provide practical frameworks, structured approaches and usable methods. Key service areas emphasised included procurement transformation, IT vendor management, software governance and operational efficiency.
Results
The Client’s IT leadership team gained clarity, knowledge and confidence in applying best practices across IT sourcing and procurement. The engagement positioned the organisation to reduce cost, manage risk more effectively and extract higher value from vendor and software investments. Maturity across IT management improved, providing readiness for ongoing digital transformation. The uplift in capability also enabled the Client to pursue future investment and transformation initiatives with stronger cost discipline, greater efficiency and better alignment to strategic objectives.
