Large Australian Medical Imaging Provider – IT and Cybersecurity Workforce Augmentation
108
Client Organisation
The client is one of Australia’s largest medical imaging providers, operating at national scale. The organisation manages a high volume of clinical data and patient services, requiring robust IT and cybersecurity capabilities to support transformation and operational continuity. With increasing cyber risk across the healthcare sector, the client sought additional skilled talent to maintain service reliability and improve resilience. At the same time, internal teams faced resourcing gaps and required external support to sustain delivery across programs and sites.
Project Overview
The client faced urgent skills shortages across several critical areas, including program management, Cyber Operations, End-User Experience, business analysis, and infrastructure support. These gaps threatened delivery timelines for digital transformation initiatives and risked exposing the organisation to cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The client needed a provider capable of sourcing, vetting, and onboarding talent quickly, while ensuring cultural alignment and contractor support throughout the engagement. A key requirement was the ability to respond rapidly to shifting needs and maintain continuity across multiple locations.
Sedha's Role
Sedha Consulting was engaged to deliver national workforce augmentation across IT and cybersecurity. Over the course of the engagement, Sedha:
Deployed more than 15 professionals across PM, CyberOps, EUX, BA, and infrastructure roles.
Managed end-to-end hiring, onboarding, and contractor care, setting clear expectations and providing structured support.
Worked closely with internal leaders and vendors to align role design, responsibilities, and delivery priorities.
Delivered ongoing people management, issue resolution, and retention initiatives to keep teams stable and effective.
Maintained a consultative approach, adapting promptly to evolving requirements and deploying resources flexibly across sites.
Results
The engagement closed urgent resourcing gaps and enabled delivery of critical programs. Team capability and performance improved, while retention remained strong due to proactive contractor support. The client sustained progress on digital transformation while significantly enhancing operational and cybersecurity resilience. By providing a reliable and scalable augmentation model, Sedha ensured that the client had the workforce agility to manage risk, meet delivery targets, and maintain service quality in a highly regulated and complex healthcare environment.
